Travellers flying into Ho Chi Minh City must now complete an additional arrival step. Under new rules introduced by immigration authorities, passengers arriving at Tan Son Nhat International Airport are required to submit a digital immigration form before entering the country.

This requirement, effective from 15 April 2026, is in addition to existing visa or e-visa requirements and applies only to those whose final destination is Ho Chi Minh City. Transit passengers are not affected.

Travellers can complete this declaration online before departure or scan a QR code upon arrival at the airport to fill in their details. It is advisable to complete this process in advance to save time during immigration.

Akasa Air Launches Direct Flights from Mumbai to Hanoi

Akasa Air has expanded its international network by introducing direct flights between Mumbai and Hanoi. Starting 4 September 2026, the airline will operate four flights per week on this route, making travel to Vietnam more accessible for Indian travellers.

Schengen Entry Exit System Fully Implemented

The European Union has now fully rolled out its Entry Exit System across the Schengen region. This system replaces traditional passport stamping with a digital process for most non-European travellers.
