Discover firsthand hotel reviews and travel insights from Brightsun Travel's UAE FAM trip, featuring some of the best hotels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
As part of Brightsun Travel's commitment to delivering first-hand travel expertise, my colleagues Satish Kumar, Rohit Yadav, Pawan Gupta, and I, Lakshay Kaushik, had the opportunity to embark on a four-day Familiarisation (FAM) trip across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The purpose of this journey was to inspect a diverse range of hotels, experience some of the UAE's most popular attractions, and gain practical insights that would help us recommend the right stays and experiences to our clients with confidence.
Our journey began with a comfortable four-hour flight from Delhi to Dubai. The overall flight experience was smooth, with efficient check-in, punctual boarding, courteous cabin crew, and a clean cabin. A memorable highlight for me was discovering that the flight captain was my cousin, making it an unforgettable experience as I even got the chance to visit the cockpit for the very first time. While the seats felt slightly compact, the journey itself was pleasant and hassle-free.
Upon arrival, our ground arrangements were handled smoothly with professional and dependable coordination throughout the trip. Our driver, Faisal, stood out for his courteous nature, flexibility, and willingness to assist us throughout the itinerary. Despite a minor delay caused by being dropped at the wrong Radisson Blu property in Abu Dhabi and a few punctuality challenges, the transfers were largely smooth, with clean vehicles, knowledgeable drivers, and excellent coordination despite our packed schedule of hotel inspections.
Over the next four days, we explored luxury beachfront resorts, premium city hotels, budget-friendly stays, cultural landmarks, and iconic attractions, giving us a well-rounded understanding of Dubai and Abu Dhabi's hospitality landscape. Here's a day-by-day account of our experience.
The first day was dedicated to hotel inspections across Dubai, where we explored a wide mix of luxury, premium, and budget properties. Each visit included room inspections, facility tours, meetings with hotel sales teams, and discussions about the ideal target audience for every property.
