Day 1: Arrive in Auckland
Upon arrival at Auckland, seat in coach (SIC) guests will be met by a representative for a private transfer to a hotel. Self-drive guests will collect a rental car and make their own way to the hotel.

Day 2: Auckland Sightseeing
Enjoy an Auckland city tour (morning or afternoon) which includes a visit to the Sky Tower, the city centre, Auckland Harbour Bridge, the Viaduct Harbour, the University of Auckland and the Auckland Domain which is home to the Auckland War Memorial Museum. You’ll continue to Parnell Village, a boutique shopping hotspot then drive along the waterfront of Tamaki to the Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park.

Day 3: Auckland - Waikato - Rotorua
Travel down south through Waikato’s lush landscapes to the world-famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves which allows you to admire dramatic limestone formations and enjoy an unforgettable boat ride underneath thousands of illuminated glowworms. Afterwards you’ll continue over the Mamaka Ranges to Rotorua.

Day 4: Rotorua
Day 4 includes an array of fun-filled experiences in Rotorua. Enjoy a visit to Te Puia, a geo thermal park tour at Whakarewarewa, a New Zealand farm show at Agrodome and a visit to the Maori Cultural Centre which includes a traditional dance performance.

Day 5: Rotorua - Queenstown
Enjoy some leisure time at Rotorua before you depart for a flight to Queenstown (please note that this airfare is not included in the price of this tour). 

Day 6: Queenstown
Head to Lumsden along the southern end of Lake Wakatipu and continue to the picturesque Lake Te Anau at New Zealand’s South Island. From here you’ll enter Eglinton Valley and continue through the Homer Tunnel to Milford Sound. Enjoy a cruise at Milford Sound with lunch then return to Queenstown.

Day 7: Queenstown
Look forward to lots of Queenstown activities on Day 7, including a ride on the panoramic Skyline Gondola. From here you have the choice of what to get up to next. Perhaps a downhill ride on the Skyline Luge, delicious cuisine at the Stratosfare Restaurant or maybe a stargazing experience at Skyline Queenstown (optional activities are not included in the tour price).

Day 8: Queenstown - Franz Josef
After some breakfast, you’ll be checking out of your hotel followed by a journey to Franz Josef via Lake Wanaka, Hawea and the Haast Pass – the gateway to the Westland Tai Poutini National Park. Your journey en route will continue up the West Coast past some breath-taking landscapes to the glacier hotspots of Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers. Entry to the Glacier Hot Pools in Franz Josef is included for self-drive guests.

Day 9: Franz Josef - Christchurch
You’ll be travelling north to Greymouth on day 9 aboard the iconic TranzAlpine train (seat in coach guests only). Travel through stunning landscapes past Arthur’s Pass before crossing the Southern Alps. From here you’ll travel beside the scenic Waimakariri River to Christchurch.

Day 10: Christchurch
Enjoy a city tour of Christchurch aboard a tram and a Venetian style boat ride along the Avon River. There will also be an option to visit the International Antarctic Centre. 

Day 11: End of Tour
This tour concludes on day 11 with a transfer to the airport or return of rental cars for self-driving guests.
