Discover Sri Lanka’s wildlife, tea plantations, beaches, and culture in six unforgettable days. Visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, Kandy Temple, Nuwara Eliya tea estates, and historic Galle. Enjoy rafting at Kitulgala, cruise Madu River, meet baby turtles at Kosgoda, and shop in Colombo’s lively markets.
Day 01 – Kandy: Wildlife and cultural introduction in Kandy.
On arrival, transfer to Kandy with a stop at Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, home to over 65 elephants including babies, with feeding and bathing times to watch. Optional visit to a Spice Garden in Mawanella. Check in to the hotel and enjoy leisure time. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 02 – Kandy: Explore Kandy’s gardens, culture, and gems
After breakfast, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya, with over 4,000 plant species. In the afternoon, tour Kandy city, including Upper Lake Drive, Market Square, Arts & Crafts Centre, Gem Museum & Lapidary, and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Evening cultural show featuring Kandyan dance. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 03 – Nuwara Eliya: Tea country and colonial charm
Travel to Nuwara Eliya via Ramboda Falls and scenic tea plantations, visiting a tea factory. Check in at the hotel, then explore Seetha Amman Temple and the colonial-style town with English gardens and historic buildings. Optional boat ride on Gregory Lake or horseback riding. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 04 – Bentota: Adventure and coastal leisure
Head to Bentota with a stop at Kitulgala for white-water rafting on the Kelani River. Check in at the hotel and enjoy leisure time by the beach or hotel facilities. Overnight stay in Bentota.
Day 05 – Bentota & Galle: River cruise, historical town, and turtles
Visit Madu River for a scenic boat ride through mangroves. Continue to Galle for a city tour of the lighthouse, harbor, and old town with traditional lace and wood crafts. Return to Bentota to visit Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery and watch baby turtles released into the sea. Overnight stay in Bentota.
Day 06 – Colombo / Departure: Colombo city highlights and shopping before departure
After breakfast, transfer to Colombo for a city tour including Pettah Bazaar, colonial landmarks, Colombo Museum, and Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall. Enjoy shopping at modern complexes before being transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
