Embark on the 8 night Himachal Adventure with Amritsar tour and look forward to being transported to the scenic hill stations of Shimla, Kufri, and Dalhousie, with the added bonus of a visit to Amritsar for one night, allowing you to witness the revered Golden Temple. This half board cruise offers panoramic drives and sightseeing tours at iconic landmarks, and ensure you bring a good camera to capture some amazing backdrop photo among the region’s natural landscapes.
Day 1: Delhi - Shimla (330km / approx. 9hrs)
Upon arrival in Delhi’s airport/railway station, you’ll be transferred to Shimla for hotel check-in, dinner, and an evening at leisure. Shimla is a popular hill station of India filled with scenic natural settings.
Day 2: Shimla – Kufri
After some breakfast, you’ll enjoy a trip to Kufri (20km) – another beautiful hill station. Return to your Shimla hotel in the afternoon, then take a stroll through Mall Road in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Shimla.
Day 3: Shimla - Manali (270km/approx. 9hrs)
After breakfast, check-out and drive to Manali hotel-check in and an evening at leisure with dinner included. Manali is a high-altitude hill station at the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, located in the Beas River valley.
Day 4: Trip to Rohtang Pass
Look forward to a thrilling morning drive up the mountainous Rohtang Pass, then return to your Manali hotel in the afternoon. In the evening you can embark on a walk through Mall Road. Dinner and overnight stay in Manali.
Day 5: Sightseeing in Manali
After breakfast, you’ll be taken to visit some great local tourist attractions. The evening will be at leisure to explore as you please, or relax at your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Manali.
Day 6: Manali - Dalhousie (360km / approx. 9hrs)
After some breakfast, you’ll check out and be driven to the hill station of Dalhousie for an evening at leisure with dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Sightseeing in Dalhousie
Enjoy breakfast then a full-day sightseeing tour of Dalhousie and its key attractions including the Bakrota Hills, St John’s Church, Panchpula, the Bara Pathar temple, and Subhash Baoli. Dinner and overnight stay in Dalhousie.
Day 8: Dalhousie - Amritsar (160 km/approx. 5hrs)
After breakfast, check-out from your hotel and transfer to Amritsar for hotel check-in. In the evening, there’s a visit to the famed India-Pakistan border in Wagah where you can watch the flag lowering ceremony. Dinner and overnight stay in Amritsar.
Day 9: Amritsar - Delhi (450km / approx. 9hrs)
Look forward to an early morning visit to the glistening Golden Temple, which is the most important Sikh Gurudwara. Afterwards, visit the Jallianwala Bagh. Enjoy breakfast back at your hotel in Amritsar, then later on check-out and be transferred to Delhi for your onwards journey home.
