| Day 1 Arrive Colombo | ||

On arrival in Colombo, you will be met and transferred by our local representative to your hotel in Bentota, the largest planned beach resort on the sunny south coast! Nestled in peaceful surroundings with lush tropical foliage bordering the coast, Bentota is a paradise of unlimited sun, sea and sand. The rest of the Dayis at leisure to indulge in various watersports activities. Overnight in Bentota. |

Day 2 Bentota – Colombo |

Today, you will drive to Balapitiya for a boat trip on the Maadu River famous for its 64 large islands. It is a good place to spot water monitors and a wide array of bird life, including myriad colourful kingfishers. Some of the famous islands are Madduwa, Kothduwa, Sathapaha Duwa and Ginduwa and most of the islands are inhabited. One of the islands is home to a large Buddhist temple adorned with lurid modern paintings and sculptures. During the boat trip you will witness the activities of the villagers like fishing and get an insight into their lifestyle. Following the boat safari, proceed to Colombo and check into your hotel. Day 3 Colombo |

This morning, enjoy a City and Shopping Tour including a visit to Buddhist and Hindu Temples, Pettah, Fort, Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Colombo Museum, the parliament house and the folk art centre. Continue on a shopping tour visiting House of Fashions, ODEL, Noritake ceramic shop and a local souvenir shop. Overnight in Colombo. (B) |
