Amsterdam has more monuments than any other city in the world. There are almost 7000 national monuments in the city. You will find 144 large monuments, including civic buildings and churches. Most historic buildings are located within walking distance of eachother along the canals which encircle the city center.
The Amsterdam VVV (Tourist Information Office) has mapped out a number of interesting walking routes through various parts of the city. The booklets contain convenient street maps with dotted lines to indicate the routes. The route booklets can be obtained at the four VVV offices in Amsterdam (on Stationsplein across from Central Station, Leidseplein/corner of Leidsestraat, Stadionplein and on Platform 2 at Central Station), at the Holland Tourist Information desk at Schiphol Plaza and at various bookstores in Amsterdam. |

Day 1 : Arrive AMSTERDAM |

| On arrival in Amsterdam, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore the wonders of this city on your own. Day 2: AMSTERDAM |

| Today, enjoy an exciting canal bus tour of Amsterdam with a day pass on a boat. You can join the cruise from the various pick up spots throughout the city and disembark at any point. There is a regular service along three routes with fourteen stops located near the major museums, shopping areas and attractions. Some of the landmarks you may see are Anne Frank House, Rijksmuseum, Artis Zoo and Rembrandt House. You can also admire beautiful traditional merchant houses dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries. Overnight in Amsterdam. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Day 3: AMSTERDAM |

| The day is at leisure or you have the option of taking the Grand Holland tour. Visit the world’s largest flower auction in Alsmeer. Or the evening is free for leisure. Overnight in Amsterdam. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Day 4 : AMSTERDAM |

| The day is at leisure or you can opt to visit the famous fishing villages of Volendam and Marken. A comprehensive tour full of the many aspects which make The Netherlands famous! Located on the coast of the former Zuiderzee (now called Ljsselmeer), these world famous villages are renowned for their wooden houses and the colourful local attire. Also stop at one of the very few cheese farms where cheese is still made in the traditional way. Overnight in Amsterdam. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Day 5: AMSTERDAM |
